I have a LiveJournal? What? It's been a week since Chicago and the Intonation Festival. I am still feeling the effects. I may have caught a nasty cold from Tim Harrington's nasty, sweaty, nearly naked body being three inches from mine. God, I hope so. I could just be sick from all of the dust and dirt kicked up in my face during Death From Above 1979's set. Yeah, fuck those assholes with Atreyu shirts moshing to that shitty band. Ah. A five day weekend ahead of me. Mmm yes. Although I'll probably be grounded for most it since I have an F in my newspaper class. Why do we have to sell ads? That is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing ever. I've sold none, and I don't think I will sell any. No businesses will buy them from me. I'm a good guy, what's the deal? Well I think I did well on my math test today, so that'll bring up the F I had in there. By golly. I am a bad student. Anyway, the show on Saturday. I can't stop talking about it. This show will be amazing. At least I hope so. I mean. How could it not be. Arms For Hands? Long Division? Ricky Fitts? The return of my favorite Hutchinson band Ides of March?....and two special guest appearances that only I, Skyler, and the people I've told, know of. Oh dear. Slap me if I'm wrong, but this may be the best show in Hutchinson ever.....if only we could have gotten someone like..Bjork to play. That would have been nice. MSN = shit. Fuck MSN. Fuck it in it's stupid ass. If MSN were a person much smaller than me, I would beat it's stupid ass. Seriously. I hate MSN so much. Do you ever wonder where the guys from the show "Jackass" are now. I know Bam Margera and his "crew" have that show and are making lots of money for never growing up, but do you think them, and the others from "Jackass" have girlfriends or wives...or children? Saturday night was one of the best nights I've had in awhile. Ricky Fitts came to town and slayed! Seriously. One of the best shows I've seen. Being so close to the band and everyone singing/screaming/mumbling the words and everyone dancing and going nuts made me proud of Hutchinson. Some of things Ricky Fitts were talking about were some things I felt some Hutchinson kids needed to hear. I can't thank them enough for playing for us. Especially for being super nice and after getting stuck in the mud and getting lost. Anyone who could've gone to this show, but didn't, really fucked up. Holy crap. Last night was amazing. It was our first show in Wichita. It was amazing. We played first and I think most people liked it. Phil played his crazy noise thing next and I was simply amazed. After him was TYGR! TYGR! Loudest band I've ever seen. Simply amazing. I can't wait until we bring them to Hutchinson. You will all hate them. After them was Arms For Hands and they rocked. Everyone was super nice and super cool. I hope to play with them again soon. Today I went to Jesse Roberts suprise birthday party. Jesse, Karl, and I played some tunes. The show tonight was great. We (Jazz Machine) played first. During our set a lady next door called the cops so we had to stop. We decided to move to the skatepark and Wolf Economy put on a great show. It was great to see them again. Thanksgiving was the same as ever. Each year is the same. Same food, same people, same rituals. I guess I shouldn't expect things to change. The new SPIN has a feature on noise bands. Lightning Bolt, Wolf Eyes, the Locust, and others have photos and bios and shit in the article. It's worth reading. Also in that same issue, an article on MF Doom. That's fucking nuts. So nobody showed up for Skyler and I's little concert at the skatepark. We didn't really expect anyone. It was slightly raining and freezing, but we still rocked the two or three kids that had no idea what was going on. That same Saturday night, I went to the concert at Hutch High the Art Club put together. I knew it was going to be bad, and I was right. I didn't even stay for the only thing I wanted to see, Red Velvet, and I feel kinda bad about it now because we may be playing a show with them soon. Anyway, after that show Megan and I went to The Loft and watched another cover band play. I have no respect for cover bands. Megan and I talked at IHOP that day and that was really nice to have a conversation with another person about all the bullshit in our lives. We went to the show and The Loft together. Megan is awesome. Today I had the pleasure of mowing the lawn in the wet and cold weather. At least I have 20 dollars now. Yay. Well that's enough. For now. p.s. Jazz Machine, Leavenworth, TYGR! Our Ghost of Graffiti performance was a success. Thank you to Matt for puking up blood while killing kittens on the microphone. I've given up on her. There's no point anymore. I'm feeling alot better. My mother and I had a heart to heart. It was really awkward. I basically told her everything that has gone on that has made me unhappy in the past year. Everything. She had no idea. Crazy. Going to Lawrence this weekend. Hope I can make the show at Sam's to see my former hometown heroes Wolf Economy play. That' would be amazing. But yes.
